Salvaggio Wins Southern California Championship

btwbus-stop(Buttonwillow, CA) Team Thunder Valley Racing driver Karen Salvaggio posted dual victories, and swept the race weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway. The #28 FFR Challenge Series Cobra started from pole in both races, and dominated the race weekend, to secure the 2009 Southern California Regional Championship..

The team had already secured the 2009 California Pony Cup, with race victories at Infineon (Sears Point) Raceway, Thunderhill Raceway, Buttonwillow and California Speedway. This team has won at every track on the West Coast, and in the season points tally, Team TVR posted 11 race victories, secured 9 pole positions, stood on the podium 14 times, and now holds the track record at Buttonwillow Raceway.

Additionally, driver Karen Salvaggio co-drove the beautiful and fast Prototype Development Group GTM-R with Chris Durbin in June at the 3 Hours of Buttonwillow. The two drove hard, and proved they had what it takes to win, standing atop the podium, 1st in class, and 1st overall!
