Thunder Valley Racing is proud to serve as the leading online
resource for information on women racers. As witnessed by the continued
stream of new driver profiles we receive, I am pleased to report
that the ranks of women racers continues to grow on a daily basis.
While I am excited about the expanded role of women in racing,
serving the growing demand for information on these ladies has
brought new challenges to us here at Thunder Valley Racing.
Over the last eight years, our team of volunteers has advanced
Thunder Valley Racing from basic message board status, to a site
with more than one hundred featured drivers, representing a multitude
of racing venues. To meet these demands, Thunder Valley Racing
volunteers are busy behind the scenes developing a new driver profile
database, as well as experimenting with new technologies that will
keep our site fresh, informative, and easy to use.
While we are developing new ways to address these growing demands,
I would like to extend an open invitation to aspiring and accomplished
writers, as well as to individual racers and team members to submit
the stories of women racers to post on our site. Our fine team
of volunteers will continue to develop the profiles of women drivers,
as well as contribute racing-related stories, but even with sustained,
outstanding efforts in these areas, we recognize that we are only
able to feature a fraction of the many significant stories of women
racers in the ranks of motorsports today.
I encourage you to step up and send us your story, or share the
story of a women racer you know. In the meantime, I salute the
efforts of our phenomenal team of volunteers, and assure you that
Thunder Valley Racing will continue to serve as a spotlight on
the efforts of women in racing.
