NSPCC Track Day at Castle Combe

News release: 22 November 2006

Ever wanted to take your own car around the Castle Combe Circuit? If yes, this could be your big moment!

Ben Elliott Racing Ltd has teamed up with the NSPCC to organise a Charity Track Day on 27 January 2007 at Castle Combe Race Track. Members of the public have the opportunity to drive their car around the circuit with the option of driver coaching from one of Ben Elliott Racing’s instructors. Nikki Welsby, the 2006 Formula Woman Champion will be driving paying passengers around for 3 laps of the circuit. Alternatively, parade laps are available for people who only want to drive a couple of laps in their cars.

As well as the driving opportunities on offer, there will be a raffle with some fantastic prizes, refreshments and of course spectators are welcome on the day too.

last track day raised over £4000...

Katie Croucher from Ben Elliott Racing Ltd said “This is our second Charity Track day at Castle Combe and I am so pleased we are raising money for the NSPCC. After the last track day, which raised over £4,000 we hope this year we can do even better and I want lots of people to come along and take part even if the weather is bad”.

The NSPCC exists to prevent cruelty to children and support those children who have suffered abuse and neglect. Ali Garland from the NSPCC said “We are enormously grateful to Ben Elliott Racing Ltd for organising such an exciting event and we are thrilled that Nikki Welsby will be present to show off some of her skills. We hope that as many people as possible can join us on the day to raise money for children and young people who need to access the NSPCC’s local services”.
