Amanda
to Appear on New Global Television Show
Sunset Speedway's Late Model Rookie Amanda Connolly has been
selected to appear on Global Television's new Pilot "Car
Mod Squad"
The show which is a similar format to the likes of "Monster
Garage" and "Junkyard Wars" features two teams
of skilled professionals that go to work on two identical
vehicles. The teams must stay within a budget and have 72
hours to produce the best looking and most importantly fastest
car.
"Car Mod Squad" is hosted by World Rally Champion
Andrew Comrie-Picard. Connolly has been selected as one of
the three official judges, and will watch over the teams progress
as the race against the clock to complete their projects.
Connolly will be busy this weekend as filming begins Saturday
morning, from there she will race against her own clock to
rush back to Sunset Speedway in Stroud, Ontario for the Late
Model Season Championship Race which begins at 6:00pm. The
Late Models wrap up there Plan Group Points battle for the
Championship this weekend. Connolly sits fifth in division
standings and had locked the Rookie of the Year Title, and
the Most Checkered Flags of the Year.
