Eden Takes 2 Titles
 Crawfordsville,
Ind. (9/21/03)---It has taken patience, perseverance, and
some luck.Now, Sondi Eden, of Crawfordsville, Ind., has put
her name among the elite in Midget Car racing. Eden clinched
not just her first, but her first two championships over the
past week. Eden finished 3rd in the 50-lap NAMARS Midget feature
at the Indianapolis Speedrome, sealing her initial NAMARS
Speedrome Thursday Night Lightning championship. She followed
that up with a 5th place in the season- closing 100-lap event
at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill., capturing the NAMARS
Regional Midget Series title.
She
wheeled the JB's Express/Morse Family Dentistry/B&R Fire/Gould
Body and Paint/Impact Racing/Racers Edge Graphics-sponsored
Competition Welding chassis to 2 feature wins, 12 top-5 finishes,
17 top 10's, 2 poles, and numerous heat wins during the season
against most of the toughest Midget competition in the country.
The second-generation driver won the NAMARS Regional crown
despite missing one race. Thanks to the JB's Express sponsorship,
she was able to run the entire Thursday Night Lightning Series,
finishing out of the top 10 only once.
Eden
will be honored for her feats at the NAMARS National Awards
Banquet in January.
