Lauren Fix Signs On With The DIY Network
 Lauren
Fix has signed on with the DIY Network to co-anchor a series
of 65 one-hourshows dealing with both novice and advanced
car maintenance. The program premieres September 16 at 4 p.m.
ET during a new weekly time slot slated for Tuesdays and Thursday
afternoons.
On
Talk2DIY Automotive, viewers will find answers to the
most sought-after automotive questions ranging from tune-ups
and tires to repairs and RVs. Program hosts Lauren Fix and
Steve Ford answer viewer queries they receive via email, phone
or letter. In addition to providing maintenance and basic
car care advice, the series also covers topics such as car
insurance, title transfers, upholstery repair and more. Talk2DIY
Automotive is a fuel-injected version of the network's popular
home improvement series, Talk2DIY Home Improvement,
which covers home-related projects in a similar fashion.
Already
recognized as America's Premier Automotive Expert, Fix has
multiple television appearances on the TODAY show, Inside
Edition, The Early Show, CNN, MSNBC, CNNfn, FOX News, NBC,
ABC, CBS, Fox, WB, UPN, The Weather Channel, ESPN, the Discovery
Channel, Speedvision, the Empire Sports Network and National
Public Radio.
She
is also the spokesperson for “Be Car Care Aware,”
a consumer education campaign promoting the benefits of regular
vehicle care, maintenance and repair. Lauren will be educating
consumers around the country on TV, radio and press about
safety, maintenance and pride of ownership.
Lauren
is a 40 Under 40 Business Award Winner; 2000 Car Care Council
Communications Award and the 2002 Women of the Year given
by the Business Advisory Board of NY. Lauren has been listed
in the Yearbook of Spokespersons, Experts and Authorities
