MacPhaden Makes the Formula F1rst Rookie of the Year
Ajax,
ON Canada - Ajax woman from Canada had accomplished what she
set out to do. Her goal was to make rookie of the year and
place in the top 3 of both championships. Kelly has been the
talk of veteran racers and has caught their eye for the outstanding
performance in her first year of open wheel racing. MacPhaden
has accomplished a 2nd place finish in the Formula F1rst championship
and 3rd place in the CASC championship.
Kelly
only started racing karts over a year ago, and put her dream
to task to race cars. Not only has she developed rapidly and
has shown she has the makings of a racers; she has the brass
to prove it! For most of the season, MacPhaden was the only
female to have ever lead the Formula F1rst championship. The
series is most commonly recognized by experienced racers as
being previously known as Formula Vee 1600.
MacPhaden
is right on track to pursuing a career in professional racing
in Canada. Her next step is the Formula Ford 1600 circuit
and is currently making plans with her crew. Kelly would like
to thank her Crew Chief Dan Purdy of ABC Racing, Bob Duncan
and Scott Styler for all their support and assistance this
year.
