Münter Starts 4th, Finishes 7th, in First Convenience
Bank 100 at Texas Motor Speedway
Fort Worth, TX - Leilani Münter made her debut
in the ROMCO Super Late Model Series in the First Convenience
Bank 100 at Texas Motor Speedway's 1.5-mile oval with an impressive
run. In her very first super late model race, and her first
race at Texas Motor Speedway, Münter posted the sixth
quickest lap of 26 race cars in practice on June 11. She qualified
5th and started 4th after the No. 96 of Greg Davidson went
to the back of the field after qualifying. Münter brought
the No. 27 FHM Chevrolet home with a 7th-place finish on the
lead lap and closing.
"It was a very impressive run for a rookie driver running
against veterans. She proved to a lot of people she can handle
a race car and run up front," said car owner Doug Hooks. "She's
welcome to drive for me anytime."
