Another 2nd-Place Finish for Amy Ruman at SCCA NHIS National
Munroe
Falls, OH: Ruman Racing headed north last weekend to New Hampshire
International Speedway to compete in the GT-1 National. It was a
sunny, warm, great weekend of racing. For the third time this season,
Amy Ruman brought home a second-place finish in #23 Ruman Racing
McNichols/Cenweld Chevrolet Corvette.
"Wow -- what a great weekend! I wasn't even sure we would make it
to the NHIS race, but I am very glad we did! It was close racing
all weekend with Hopwood, Thummel, and Busch, and we had a great
race. I really wanted to win this one, but Jack (Busch) is such
a tough competitor. He and Hopwood have about a million miles at
NHIS; so I knew they would be tough to beat. I have to thank my
crew for such a great effort to get us there and enable us to bring
home another second-place finish," stated Ruman.
This was Ruman's fourth National for the 2004 season. She is currently
leading the GT-1 Northeast Division with 33 points.
On Deck: May 15-16, SCCA National at Nelson Ledges Road Course,
