Kristi
Schmitt Top Ten
Saturday,
September 21st - Altamont Raceway was a changing point for
Kristi Schmitt's season in the tour divisions. Practice went
well for the Seco Manufacturing, Schmitt Equipment Sales,
and World Wide Travel sponsored Chevy Monte Carlo. Qualifying
went well when Kristi turned a 18.679, putting her in the
ninth qualifying position. Crew chief Steve Schmitt making
a few final changes to get ready for the main event made Kristi
and the Schmitt racing team excited and anxious for what awaited.
Having a few set backs in the middle of the race Kristi still
put the car to the test. Finishing the 100 lap main event
in a good position of tenth made the team feel confident and
determined to do better next time. Kristi and the Schmitt
racing team where very happy with the way that the night went.
Kristi's next race will be at Bakersfield, CA on October 20th
for the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Tour Series event. To

Kristi
Schmitt is 21 years old and has been racing snce the age of
10. At sixteen she began racing Latemodels at the local track.
Now Kristi is a racing a NASCAR tour car.
