LesCare
Kitchens Joins Theriault for Final Three Championship Races
|
Statesville, NC - Following her solid finish at Mansfield
Motorsports Park on October 9, Michelle Theriault received
a congratulatory phone call from Jay Lestori, CEO of LesCare
Kitchens. Lestori was so impressed with the 18-year-old phenom's
performance that he expanded LesCare Kitchens' agreement with
Theriault to include the final three USAR Hooters Pro Cup
Championship Series races. LesCare Kitchens has been a partner
with Theriault since the start of the championship series.
"I'm very happy to continue my relationship with LesCare
and Jay Lestori," said Theriault, driver of the No. 12S
LesCare Kitchens Chevrolet. "It's encouraging to have
the support of such a high profile, respected organization
and its many incredible employees."
LesCare Kitchens Inc. is a builder of custom and semi-custom
cabinets, and is the largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer
in North America. The company originally started out as a
family operation 59 years ago in Waterbury, Connecticut. Today,
it is still a privately owned company, headed by CEO James
C. Lestorti, but it has grown considerably and now has plants
in Statesville, North Carolina, Waterbury, Connecticut and
Southington, Connecticut.
Theriault Ready for Myrtle Beach Challenge
Michelle Theriault loves a challenge and Saturday's Mark Brooks
Memorial Bi-Lo 250 at Myrtle Beach Speedway offers her the
biggest of the 2004 season. The 250 lap race is the third
of five USAR Hooters Pro Cup Championship Series events. "Myrtle
Beach Speedway may be the biggest challenge I have ever faced,"
said Theriault, the first female competitor in history to
qualify for the championship series. "It's one of the
most demanding short tracks in the country. Experience is
the key to success in Myrtle Beach, mainly due to its abrasive
racing surface which is tough to get used to." The Bristol,
Connecticut native has never competed at the 0.538 mile short
track. Her experience is limited to a one-day test session
held on October 18. "I tested last week and made several
long runs on old tires," said Theriault, driver of the
No. 12S LesCare Kitchens Chevrolet. "From that, I learned
a lot about what to expect in race conditions. Also, I found
out that driver input is more important than car setup."
Despite Theriault's limited experience at Myrtle Beach Speedway,
she is confident the knowledge and support she receives from
her Nesbitt Racing teammate Mart Nesbitt will level the playing
field.
"Having a teammate has proven to be invaluable,"
said Theriault. "Mart has been an incredible help to
me. He provides me with a great baseline and speeds up the
learning process. I can't thank him enough."
