Claire
Tippet Set for Snetterton
Norfolk, UK - Racing driver, Claire Tippet heads to the Norfolk circuit
of Snetterton this weekend (24-25th September) to compete
in the final round of this season's VW Racing Cup Championship.
After her last outing at Brands Hatch, when her superb performance
in the first race was sadly not to be repeated in race two
when a fellow competitor took her off, her VW Golf GTi has
had a new rear axle fitted and the fuel cell rebuilt .
"I am looking forward to returning to Snetterton"
said Claire, backed by KoGee and Cole Easdon Consultants,
"I had a good race there last year and am hoping for
more of the same this time round! The car is looking very
good."
And whilst this weekend marks the final VW Racing Cup race
it will not be the last time we see Claire at the wheel of
her Golf this season. Claire will be competing at Silverstone
in October at the 6hr Birkett Relay race in a four car team,
comprising of VWs.
Since the last race Claire has been busy on the racetrack
achieving another goal - passing her ARDS instructors course
which means she is now able to tutor budding race drivers
and those enjoying the ever popular trackdays held at circuits
across the country. "This has been a long held ambition
of mine" Claire said, "Motorsport isn't just for
the weekend and I'm looking forward to become more involved
in the growing leisure side of motorsport and driving in addition
to my racing."
