Audrey
Zavodsky Speaks at Tonda Elementary School
Panoz
GT Pro professional race car driver, Dr. Audrey Zavodsky has
been invited to speak at the Tonda Elementary School in Canton,
Michigan. This event will take place on March 19th of 2003
from 9:30AM to 11 AM.
The
Visteon sponsored driver will read a story to the 2nd grade
classes and talk to them about the importance of reading and
using their H.E.A.D. as they go through life.
Dr.
Audrey’s accomplishments on and off the race are outstanding.
She is a Ford Motor Company Corporate Nurse responsible for
25 medical locations. She holds a Doctorate degree in Business,
a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration, and a Bachelor
of Science degree in Nursing.
She
plays and teaches piano, speaks to many civic and religious
organizations, visits hospitals, visits schools from Kindercare
to Universities with her message of staying off of drugs,
eating right, setting goals, and realizing your dreams. She
has been an NFL Superbowl ‘Cheerleader of Life’
in 2001, 2002, and 2003.
Dr.
Audrey’s accomplishments on the race track include:

a historical win competing with 200 women race drivers from
around the world
·
this is Dr. Audrey’s 7th year of racing
·
she has won many races
·
she is the 2001 SCCA Central Division SRF Champion (over
270 competitors)
·
first woman to win a Panoz Pro race (Mosport, Canada)
·
first woman to lead the Panoz Pro series in points during
the year
·
finished 2nd in Panoz GT points in 2001
·
finished 3rd in Panoz Pro GT points in 2001
·
finished 2nd overall in combined points for the GT and GT
Pro events in 2001
Dr.
Audrey has experience in many cars including the Mosler MT
900, Toyota MR 2, Datsun 240 Z, Mustang Mach I, BMW M3, Mazda
RX 7, Panoz Esperante, Corvette Z 06, and a Trans AM Mustang.
