Alli Owens

Type of Racing: Stock Car

Race Series: ARCA RE/MAX Series

Introduction: Alli caught the racing bug at an early age. Her first taste of competition was at age 8 when she entered a BMX bicycle race. Success came quickly for the Daytona Beach, FL native. After her first full season, she was signed as a factory rider for Dan?s Competition/Huffy Bikes. After numerous victories and winning the President's Cup, Alli decided to try four wheel competition.

Following a brief stint in quarter midgets, Alli, at age 13, moved into the Dirt Pure Stock Division on 1/2 mile clay oval at Volusia Speedway Park. Once again, success came immediately. In her first season, she finished with an impressive record of two wins, six top five, eight top-10 finishes and ended the 2003 season sixth out of twenty seven cars in the championship standings.

Alli began competing on asphalt in the Mini Stock division on the 1/2 mile oval at New Smyrna Speedway in 2004. She finished the season third in the championship standings and captured the division's Rookie-of-the-Year honors.

In 2005, Alli advanced to the Late Model division at New Smyrna Speedway. She quickly established herself as a championship contender by scoring a solid second place finish in her first outing. She ended the season third in the championship standings and grabbed her second consecutive Rookie-of-the-Year award.

Prior to the 2007 season, Alli received the break of a lifetime. The National Labor Management Cooperation Committee (NLMCC), a joint entity of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), signed on to be Alli's primary sponsor. She went on to compete in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Hickory Motor Speedway and in the Late Model division at Tri-County Speedway.

The 2008 season brought Alli to the renowned ARCA RE/MAX Series. With continued support from her sponsors, she drove the No. 12 ElectrifyingCareers.com Chevrolet fielded by DGM Racing. With her sights set on a future career as a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, the 19-year-old was optimistic about the challenges ahead.

For 2009 Alli signed with D'Hondt Motorsports to drive the #19 Toyota under the Electrifyingcareers.com banner again.
